Four teenagers have been charged over an aggravated home invasion in Clyde North, in Melbourne's south-east, after detectives executed three search warrants on Thursday, October 29, according to a Victoria Police media release.

Police allege a group gained entry to a home on Gulling Rise about 12.45am on Saturday, October 24. A resident confronted the group and was allegedly assaulted, sustaining minor injuries, and was taken to hospital for observation, according to the release. Police allege the group stole a large quantity of gold and other items.

A 17-year-old from the Greater Dandenong area was arrested at the scene and interviewed by Southern Metro Region Crime Squad detectives, according to the release. He was charged with aggravated home invasion with an offensive weapon, three counts of false imprisonment, common law assault, making threats to kill and theft of a motor vehicle, and was remanded in custody to appear at a children's court at a later date.

On Thursday, detectives arrested three more teenagers. A 13-year-old boy from the Greater Dandenong area was charged with the same set of offences and was remanded in custody to appear at a children's court on Thursday, according to the release. An 18-year-old Hallam man was charged with aggravated home invasion with an offensive weapon, three counts of false imprisonment, common law assault, making threats to kill and theft of a motor vehicle, and was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on January 21, 2027.

An 18-year-old Mulgrave man faces the same charges, plus an additional count of common law assault, according to the release. With assistance from Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives, he was also charged over an alleged armed robbery in Springvale on October 24, along with another 16-year-old boy from the Greater Dandenong area.

What happens next is the court process. The children's court matters will be heard on dates set by the court, while the older accused face the Melbourne Magistrates' Court in January. Police have not named the teenagers, and the charges remain allegations that will be tested in court.
