Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 at Portman Road on Friday night in the opening game of Premier League Matchweek 8, according to VAVEL's live match coverage.
Nottingham Forest took an early lead through Neco Williams in the 13th minute, before Julio Enciso equalised for Ipswich in the 41st minute, according to VAVEL. Both goals came before half-time, and neither side could find a winner after the break.
Forest created the better chances in the second half but could not convert them, according to News Ei Samay's match report. The report notes that a costly defensive mistake allowed Ipswich to level the score before half-time, and that Forest were left frustrated after dominating large parts of the contest.
The point still had value for the visitors. According to News Ei Samay, the draw lifted Oliver Glasner's Nottingham Forest side out of the relegation zone and into 16th place with six points, although their position remains vulnerable depending on other results over the weekend.
For Ipswich, the draw continues a solid start at home. The hosts stayed organised after falling behind early and took their chance before the interval, a pattern that has kept them competitive in the early weeks of the season.
Attention now turns to the rest of Matchweek 8, with Saturday and Sunday fixtures to come across the Premier League. Both Ipswich and Forest will look at this game as a missed opportunity for three points, but neither side leaves Portman Road empty-handed.
