Kaley Cuoco Welcomes Second Daughter Philomena With Fiancé Tom Pelphrey

Kaley Cuoco is officially a mom of two. The Big Bang Theory star, 40, announced on Instagram on October 14 that she and her fiancé, Ozark actor Tom Pelphrey, 44, welcomed their second daughter, Philomena Carmine Bobby Pelphrey, on October 12, according to People.

"There are no words to describe this feeling once again. What a blessing," Cuoco wrote. "We are so grateful for the crazy wild up and down journey that brought us to our little Philo! Family officially complete. Time to bring Matilda's baby home!" The couple's older daughter, Matilda, was born in March 2023.

A source told People that both of the newborn's middle names honor family members — Carmine nods to Cuoco's father, while Bobby honors Pelphrey's side of the family. Pelphrey also shared his own tribute, writing, "Philomena Carmine Bobby Pelphrey. Another miracle. Welcome to our family youngest queen! Kaley you showed up in every way as a partner and a mom even when you weren't feeling your best — you're a CHAMPION."

Hello! Magazine reports the announcement drew congratulations from celebrity friends including Taylor Lautner, Ashley Benson and Cuoco's Big Bang Theory co-star Kunal Nayyar. Just Jared notes the couple, who met at an Ozark premiere in April 2022 and got engaged in August 2024, announced they were expecting another daughter back in June.

The name Philomena — which the couple has shortened to "Philo" — is of Greek origin, meaning "lover of strength" and "courageous lover," according to The Bump. It's a distinctive, classic choice that continues the couple's tradition of meaningful names; big sister Matilda's full name is Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey.

The announcement caps a joyful year for the pair. Last month, Cuoco supported Pelphrey at the 78th Primetime Emmys, where he won outstanding supporting actor in a drama series for the HBO drama Task. With a new Emmy on the shelf and a new baby at home, the Pelphrey-Cuoco household is having quite the season.
