Netflix's hit French heist series Lupin is back. Part 4 premieres on Friday, October 23, with all eight episodes dropping at once, according to Netflix's official announcement reported by JustJared. It is the first new installment in three years, following Part 3's October 2023 release.
Omar Sy returns as Assane Diop, the gentleman thief who ended Part 3 by surrendering to police to protect his best friend. This time, Assane is behind bars when a copycat calling himself Lupin starts targeting museums — forcing him to break out and clear his name.
The new chapter also marks a changing of the guard behind the camera. Series creator George Kay has stepped away, and Sy now serves as co-showrunner alongside director Louis Leterrier, giving the star more creative control over Assane's story than ever before, according to Variety. Returning cast members include Ludivine Sagnier as Claire and Soufiane Guerrab as detective Youssef Guédira.
Since its 2021 debut, Lupin has ranked among Netflix's biggest non-English-language hits, proving that international thrillers can anchor the streamer's lineup alongside homegrown franchises. With the entire season available on day one, fans can binge the full mystery — including the finale — in a single sitting.
Netflix has not confirmed a Part 5, but the three-year wait suggests the platform is playing the long game with one of its signature series. For now, all eight episodes are streaming exclusively on Netflix.
