Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2026: Oasis, Wu-Tang Clan, Iron Maiden Lead Ceremony on November 14

Music's biggest night is three weeks away. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's 2026 induction ceremony takes place Saturday, November 14, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, honoring one of the most stylistically diverse classes in the institution's 40-year history — with the broadcast to follow on ABC and Disney+ in December.

The eight performer inductees span five decades and as many genres: Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan. Collins, Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan are all first-time nominees — Collins was previously inducted with Genesis in 2010, making him a rare two-time inductee. Billy Idol and Sade each got in on their second nominations; Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order and Oasis each on their third. The class was announced April 13 on a Hall of Fame-themed American Idol episode by Ryan Seacrest and 2022 inductee Lionel Richie.

Beyond the performers, ten more honorees were selected by committee: the Early Influence Award goes to Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte and Gram Parsons; the Musical Excellence Award to Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller and Rick Rubin; and the late Ed Sullivan receives the Ahmet Ertegun Award. "Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music's highest honor," said chairman John Sykes. "It's going to be an unforgettable night."

As AXS TV notes, the arguments about who got left out — fan-vote winner New Edition, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, P!nk, Shakira — are already louder than a Marshall stack. But on November 14, the spotlight belongs to the 18 honorees: metal, hip-hop, post-punk, soul, new wave and sleek radio pop, all taking their seats at the same table.
