Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba Nation activist, has apparently been diagnosed with a renal or lung disease.
Yomi Aliyyu, one of his lawyers, revealed this in an interview with BBC Yoruba, stating that the rights campaigner contracted the sickness while incarcerated in the Benin Republic.
The agitator, he claims, has also become dangerously ill and has been transported to the hospital for treatment.
Igboho is currently being held at a detention facility in Benin Republic, according to him.
