Movie veteran Chiwetalu Agu reportedly rearrested by DSS

After being detained for 24 hours, the movie star was freed from army custody. 




 According to reports, Chiwetalu Agu, a Nigerian film veteran, has been re-arrested by officers from the Department of State Service (DSS). The actor is now in the custody of the DSS, according to a post made on his Facebook page by one of his coworkers on Friday, October 8, 2021. 

"Chiwetalu Agu is still not free. He is with DSS now. Colleagues say they are looking for a top lawyer to bail him," he wrote.

 
The movie star was released by the Nigerian Army on Friday afternoon, as previously reported.
The movie star was apprehended by Nigerian Army soldiers in Onitsha on Thursday, October 7.

The actor was seen wearing a dress with the Biafran flag embroidered on it.

The army thereafter issued a statement revealing that the actor had been detained for agitating the public and soliciting support for the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
